Interviews

I had to interview 3 people that were my target audiece, I came up with a numeber of questions that I was going to ask them, to gather more research, andget a better insight to what my target audience liked and what they were interested in.

Benefits:
  • Infomation is from your audience
  • Specific questions
  • Specific infomation
Limitations:
  • Hard to find 3 people who are willing to do it
  • Some Interviews can be biased
  • The infomation found is only what the interviewer whats to find out
  • Infomation is really foucsed

Pre-production Location Report

This is a report on the location where you are going to film or take pictures or make your print,  it basically outlines the address and any problems that my occur. it askes if you have natural light, parking spaces, electricity access and much more. this was useful because then you know if you are able to do what you want in your location and if you are going to need any more equipment, for example: if in the room that yopu are going to take your photos doesnt get laods of natural light, then you know that you will need extra lighting.

Pre-Production Risk Assessment

Risk assessment was to identify any risks that could occur when making my magazine or when filming a video, some benefits to this was it made you more aware of any dangers that you may come accross that you normally would thibk of. It made me more careful when filming with equipment and not putting others around me in danger.

Pre-Production Photograph list

This was a list of every photo that I was going to take to use on my magazine, I did this so then when it came to taking all my photos I already knew what I was going to take, benefits of doing this is it save alot of time, and it kept me organised because I had all of the other pre-production work to do.

Pre-Production Timeline to Organise time

I had to make a time line for my pre-production, this was so that I could manage my time effectivley to get all my work done, I had to give myself deadlines to meet for each piece of work. I used this to get each piece of my work done and it taught me how to manage my time effectley between each piece.

Pre-production

Flat Plans- I had to make these flat plans because then i gave me an idea of where to put my text and images when making my magazine, these were really benefitial because when it came to making my magazine i already knew where to put my images and text, which really saved time.

Print Production

When doing print production I learnt some things about technology, I learnt more about how to use photoshop more, i already knew how to use it, but when doing my print I learnt alot more about all of the different filters, and the different tools that i could use to edit my pictures and make my magazine. for example: I learnt how to use the magic wand  to edit out any background in the images. another program i learnt was fireworks, I thought that this wasnt as good a photoshop, but I learnt the basics as it is a bit different to photoshop.
when using photoshop it had loads of benefits these were:
  • The finshed product had a professional look
  • It was easy to use after a while
  • Good to edit photo with filters and effects
Limitations:
  • At first it was really hard to use
  • If your not good at it you dont really get a good end product
Because I was able to use photoshop when creating my magazine cover, contents, and double page spread, this really helped because I was able to create something that looked professional, and I could make my magazine unique and different using the filters and effects avaliable in the software. I as able to choose different fonts, make them how ever I wanted and this was helpful. it allowed me to be creative and flexible with my ideas.
